Landlord Insights (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website landlordinsights.co.uk. We are a UK-based regulatory intelligence service for landlords.
Company registration is in progress with Companies House. Our registered address will be updated upon incorporation.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, and date/time of access. This data is collected automatically through server logs and analytics tools.

4. How we use your data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
To provide our services: Processing subscriptions, delivering weekly briefings, sending per-property alerts, and managing your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
To communicate with you: Responding to enquiries, sending service-related notifications, and providing customer support. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
To improve our website and services: Analysing usage patterns, diagnosing technical issues, and improving content and user experience. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

We share personal data only with the following categories of third parties, and only to the extent necessary:

Analytics:We use Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the website. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent. Data may be transferred to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. You can decline analytics cookies at any time via the cookie preferences link in the footer. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
6. International data transfers
Some of our service providers (Stripe, Vercel, Buttondown) are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or reliance on the provider’s UK GDPR adequacy arrangements.
7. How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy:
Active subscriber data: For the duration of your subscription plus 6 years (to meet UK tax and accounting obligations).
Communication data: For up to 2 years after the last interaction, unless a longer period is required by law.
Technical and analytics data: For up to 12 months.
Marketing consent records: For as long as consent remains active, plus 12 months after withdrawal.
When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
