Sourcegov.wales

Rent Smart Wales has revised its fee schedule. Landlord licence renewals submitted from 1 July 2026 increase by £12. Agent licence fees are unchanged.

Rent Smart Wales has published a revised fee schedule effective for applications and renewals submitted on or after 1 July 2026. The landlord registration renewal fee increases by £12. Landlords renewing before 30 June 2026 will be charged at the current rate.

Agent licence fees, both new applications and renewals, remain unchanged at the current schedule. The increase applies only to the landlord registration renewal category. New landlord registrations submitted after 1 July 2026 will also be charged at the revised rate.

Landlords with renewal dates falling after 1 July should note the revised fee when budgeting. Those due to renew imminently may wish to submit before the deadline to retain the current fee. Renewal reminders from Rent Smart Wales will reflect the new schedule.
